Biography
Michelle Cohen Levy is a third generation attorney in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After working for both a small boutique firm and a large national firm, Ms. Levy opened her own practice so that she could get back to doing what she does best: helping people. She believes everyone deserves the best legal representation possible.
Ms. Levy's practice focuses on representing clients injured as a result of medical malpractice, defective products, slip and falls, and other forms of negligence and strict liability.
Ms. Levy is active in the local Broward County Bar Association as well as the Jewish Federation of Broward County. In the Broward County Bar Association, she serves on the Golf Tournament Committee, organizing a charity golf tournament to benefit ARC Broward. She is a member of the 2014-2015 Horizons Leadership Program of the Jewish Federation of Broward.
Ms. Levy earned her Bachelor's degree from The Johns Hopkins University in 2004 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2009. Ms. Levy has been selected as a Florida Rising Star by SuperLawyers from 2013 thru 2018.
Ms. Levy, originally from the Philadelphia area, is the daughter of a physician-attorney and a speech language pathologist. Growing up in a medical household, Ms. Levy developed a high level of comfort with medical terminology and also saw exceptional medical care in action. Ms. Levy believes everyone should receive that same level of exceptional medical care. When you don't receive that high level of care, you should be appropriately compensated for your resulting injuries.
Ms. Levy chose to go to law school after her next-door neighbors brought a lawsuit against her parents in an attempt to wrongfully claim title to some of her parents' property. Ms. Levy watched her parents suffer not just because of the frivolous lawsuit, but also because of the excessively high legal fees. Wanting to help people without taking advantage of them, Ms. Levy pursued a legal career focusing on representing those who have been injured or even killed through the carelessness of others.
